BLUES

INTRODUCTION

The blues have been a fascination of mine for a long time. I remember first listening to blues tracks on the radio, and completely being mesmorized by the harmonica playing. My father was a prolific drummer and harmonica player with a European flavour, and it wasn't long before I was taking up these instruments. Below are a few of my favourite blues artists, a few of the songs, I did my own rendition of covers in my first album. These songs included Jimmy Reed's 'Wear Something Green' and 'Hard Working Hanna'. Little Walter's 'My Babe', 'Tell me Mama', and 'Mean Old World'. And Ray Charles 'Lonely Avenue'. No doubt I have developed blues blood in me, the music still inspires me today, and after a long time of not listening to it, and replaying it again, it contains that freshness and excitement. These blues sounds and rhythms always invoke a good feeling in me. Have a look and listen to a few of my favourite songs, and blues artists below.
