my morning jacket - 'outta my system'

My Morning Jacket are a terrific American Rock band from Louisville, Kentucky. The band members consist of Jim James, Tom Blankenship, Patrick Hallahan, Bo Koster, and Carl Broemel. This song is called 'Outta My System', from the 'Circuital' album released in 2011. The song was written by Jim James, and was supposed to be one of the two songs for 'Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem' performance in the upcoming 'Muppets' film and tour. However, it was not included at the time, and Jim James decided to put it in the 'Circuital' album. The band are a Psychedelic Rock unit, and also play an Indie Rock style of music, they were formed back in 1998. My Morning Jacket have also performed on the Late Show with David Letterman. And they have been musical guests on the Saturday Night Live Show. They are a very original band, and the music they play to me typifies a tastefully clean sound.

The red crayola - 'hurricane fighter plane'

The Red Crayola was a Psychedelic band of the '60's. It consisted of Frederick Bartheime, Lora Logic, Allen Ravenstine, David Thomas, and Markus Oehien. This song 'Hurricane Fighter' is taken from the same titled double album recorded in 1967 and 1968. It is the cornerstone famous song from the double album and is typical avantgarde '60's rock. Originally released on Lelan Rogers fabled International label (home of 13th Floor Elevators and Bubbly Puppy, among others). The song is from a double album which is uncompromisingly weird and moves right beyond the psychedelic to 'freakishly strange'. This song has a squalling organ solo by Roky Erickson from the 13th Floor Elevators playing in it. The Red Crayola invited a group of fellow travelers, into their recording studio at the time, and Roky Erickson who came into the studio, added a lot of bite to this song. Will feature a few of the other songs from this great album further down the track.
